I like very much to communicate. That is because communication means to better know and understand each other. Born and raised on a small country farm at about 150-km from Romania’s capital city, Bucharest, my roots lay in rural country. I was attracted by keen sensitivity to nature, down-to-earth practicality combined with fervent idealism and poetry. I always wanted to see what was over the next hill and I also was a voracious reader and thus largely self-educated, gregarious and deeply interested in people. My first beginning to a flying job was some fifty-five years ago, if one counts from July the 27th, 1950, my birth date. Before venturing off into the wild blue yonder, and a dream to blossom and become fruitful, apparently it all started at about three years of age, with looking into the sky for any strangers to come down from their flying machines. Graduated my primary school at that farming village and continued it, and added secondary school studies in the nearby town of Buzãu, and aviation training for particularly the flying profession followed (that is an other three-year period of training time).

Born in 1952 (April 17th), raised in a mixture of rural village and provincial town, Mr. TINEL CONSTANTINESCU has graduated as engineer at Universitatea Tehnică „Gh. Asachi” in Iași. He has previously graduated at Colegiul National "Costache Negruzzi" , Iasi. Mr. Constantinescu Tinel always had a keen interest in aerospace science, engineering and paranormal human behaviour... He is a real friend when you are in need, scrupulous entrepreneur, with huge attention payed to the detail and a very young spirit.

Professor Doctor Engineer MIRCEA BURUIANA is a strong team player with proven leadership skills. Able to lead, develop and motivate teams to achieve targets. Excellent analytical and problem solving techniques and dedicated to maintain high quality standards. An innovative leader, who is motivated and possess exceptional interpersonal skills. He has spent his entire career in aviation industry & flight operations, loving the challenges and creating solutions necessary to implement procedures and lead his team in order to perform better. He has discovered that he enjoyed the strategic elements of coaching, training and motivating people in order to reach their corporate goals, develop quality performance and achieve their revenue targets. He has always been organized and he discovered that his ability to envision and resolve complex tasks is crucial in achieving a successful operations management. He is currently lecturing at Faculty of Aerospace Engineering ( Bucharest Politehnica University), and also at the Bucharest Higher School of Civil Aviation too.

1945, prin ordinul circular al Subsecretariatului de Stat al Aerului nr. 18540, la Caransebes se incep lucrarile de fabricatie a celulelor de avioane Me 109G-6 , la care se utilizau piese si subansamble din capturile germane. Se pare ca au fost fabricate 75 de astfel de celule.

Comandor aviator George Davidescu...

1896, s-a nascut pilotul cdor. av. George Davidescu -poreclit "englezul", pentru eleganta sa si calm. Perioada iunie 1943 - 23 August 1944 a fost cea in care a indeplinit functia de sef de stat major al Corpului Aerian.
A fost unul dintre inițiatorii și organizatorul principal a două raiduri Bucuresti - Cape Town si retur.Raidul a fost făcut cu trei aeronave de formare ICAR M.23b. Echipajele au fost cpt.. av. Mihail Pantazi și Dumitru Ploesteanu (mecanic expeditiei), lt. cdor. Alexandru Cernescu și Max Manolescu, cpt.. av. George Davidescu și Petre Ivanovici. Au plecat de la București la 22 octombrie 1933 și se îndreaptă spre Istanbul. De acolo au zburat la Konya - Alep (Siria)-Cairo (Egipt) - Assuan - Khartoum - Malakal. Raidul lor a fost oprit din cauza unor probleme tehnice, și a trebuit să se întoarcă acasă, ajungând la București la 17 noiembrie.
Al doilea raid : Max Manolescu și Petre Ivanovici (ucis într-un accident de avion ), au fost înlocuiti de cpt.. cdor. av. Gheorghe Jienescu și cpt.. av. Gheorghe Olteanu.Mecanicul Anton Stengher s-a alăturat expediției aeriene. Au plecat pe 14 aprilie 1935 de la București și, în urma același traseu, Malakal - Nairobi (Kenya) - Salisbury - Pietersburg - Bucharest - Kimberly - Cape Town. Ei au aterizat la destinația lor finală, la 25 aprilie.

Because cdor. av. Davidescu did not take part in any war mission, I decided to relate some of his inter-war exploits. He was one of the initiators and main organizer of two raids Bucharest - Cape Town and return.
The first raid was made with three ICAR M.23b training aircraft. The crews were cpt. av. Mihail Pantazi and Dumitru Ploesteanu (expedition's mechanic), lt. cdor. Alexandru Cernescu and of. ec. cl. III Max Manolescu, cpt. av. George Davidescu and of. ec. cl. III Petre Ivanovici. They left from Bucharest on 22 October 1933 and headed for Istanbul. From there they flew to Konya - Alep (Syria)-Cairo (Egypt) - Assuan - Khartoum - Malakal. There, their raid was stopped, due to technical problems, and had to return home, arriving in Bucharest on 17 November.

For the second raid they chose an airplane more suited to the task: the ICAR Universal. Max Manolescu and Petre Ivanovici (killed in a plane crash in the meantime) were replaced by cpt. cdor. av. Gheorghe Jienescu and cpt. av. Gheorghe Olteanu. The mechanic Anton Stengher also joined the expedition. They left on 14 April 1935 from Bucharest and, following the same route, arrived at Malakal on 18. From there they headed to Nairobi (Kenya) - Salisbury - Pietersburg - Johannesburg - Kimberly - Cape Town. They landed at their final destination on 25 April. Five days later they started their return journey and, on 25 May, they entered Romanian airspace, being escorted by 9 ARR Potez XXVs. At Baneasa airfield a huge crowd had gathered to greet them, as well as many VIPs. Later that day, they were taken to the Royal Palace, where they were awarded the "Virtutea Aeronautica" Order Gold Cross class for their achievement.

AVION IAR 818


Proiect realizat de ing. Radu Manicatide, derivat din proiectul IAR-817 prin dezvoltarea acestuia. A fost construit la IRMA Baneasa in doua variante sanitar şi agricol. Omologarea s-a efectuat in anul 1961 pentru varianta sanitar si in 1962 pentru varianta agricol. In anul 1964, un IAR-818 de serie (YR-AGN) a fost modificat cu flotoare si denumit IAR-818H. A fost incercat in zbor pe 13 mai 1965 de pilotul Constantin Manolache pe lacul Siut-Ghiol lingă Constanta, testele au demonstrat că nu era un bun hidroavion, din cauza puterii reduse a motorului, după incercari, avionul a fost readus la varianta initiala cu tren de aterizare. In anul 1965, cateva avioane au fost amenajate pentru dubla comanda. Aparatul Nr.54 a fost prototipul pentru această variantă şi a fost incercat in zbor pe 28 februarie 1966 de catre pilotul Constantin Manolache. Acestea au fost dotate cu echipamente de navigate ftrt vizibilitate, apoi livrate Scolii Militare de Pilotaj Boboc, unde au functionat pana in anul 1974. S-a construit si o varianta agricola, prototipul YR-AUJ a fost omologat pe 26 mai 1967 pilotat de Constantin Manolache. S-a fabricat, pana in anul 1967, un total 103 exemplare. Avion de şcoală şi utilitar.

PERFORMANTE: Viteza maxima 185 km/h; viteza minima 60 km/h; urcare la 1000 m 7’30”; plafon 4000 m; lungime rulaj la decolare 100 m; lungime rulaj la aterizare 40 m; distanta de zbor sanitar 1100 km; autonomie agricol 500 km



MR-2 

An de fabricatie 1956

Variantă de serie a avionului IAR-814 (MR de la Manicatide Radu). Aripa acestui model acoperită cu placaj, a avut un înveliş suplimentar din pânză, măsură care s-a dovedit salutară mărind rezistenţa în timp. Au fost construite 10 exemplare MR-2 + 2 IAR-814, total 12 avioane la ARMV-3 Braşov.
Avion fabricat in variantele: transport, turism şi sanitar. Capacitate: echipaj1, pasageri 5, s-au în varianta sanitar: echipaj 1 pilot + 1 sanitar, pasageri 2 bolnavi. Motor 2x WALTER MINOR 6 III în linie inversat răcit cu aer de 160 CP
DIMENSIUNI: anvergură 14 m; lungime 10,9 m; înălţimea în linie de zbor 2,760 m; suprafaţă portantă totală 28 m².
GREUTĂŢI: greutate gol 1415 kg; greutate totală 2080 kg.
PERFORMANŢE: viteză maximă 275 km/h; viteză minimă 85 km/h; plafon 4900 m; lungime rulaj la decolare 400 m; lungime rulaj la aterizare 280 m; autonomie 1100 km.
In majoritatea lor au fost echipate in varianta sanitar fiind exploatate de AVIASAN (ce vremuri!)
